Automotive Service Technician

Our Automotive Service Technicians (AST’s) are an integral part of our day-to-day business. Our certified technicians are responsible for vehicle diagnosis, repair and maintenance. Our AST’s analyze, troubleshoot, dismantle, align, assemble and adjust mechanical equipment and machinery for the maintenance of efficient operating conditions. At HG, our certified technicians receive the most up-to-date training on various platforms: in-class manufacturer training, online modules and hands-on shop training. Furthermore, offering 18 brands throughout HG, we are able to provide our AST’s with the opportunity to gain various brand experiences to broaden their skills.

Service Advisor

Service Advisor

Our Service Advisors are one of the first points of contact with customers who bring their vehicles in for service. They are responsible for advising customers on the necessary services required to their vehicle, as well as on routine maintenance. Advisors also manage cash and profit by advising customers on other available services, booking appointments, and building long-lasting relationships. The Service Advisor is a great role to improve and perfect your customer service skills while having the opportunity to develop strong product knowledge and sales techniques.

Car Wash Attendant & Detailer

Car Wash Attendant & Detailer

Car Wash Attendants are responsible for performing quick vehicle checks in the Service drive-thru, providing backup support to Detailers and performing car wash duties. This position is a great opportunity to learn about full car detailing, and eventually move into a Detailer role. Detailers are responsible for cleaning and reconditioning new and used vehicles for delivery. They develop expertise in cleaning and refurbishing the vehicle internally and externally and applying vehicle protective products. Our Detailers and Car Wash attendants work closely with both the Sales and Service departments to provide the highest quality of customer service.

Lube Technician

Lube Technician

Lube Technicians are responsible for performing vehicle preventative maintenance and minor repairs in a fast-paced environment. Lube technicians replace oil and air filters, perform oil changes, check tire pressure and lubricate moving vehicle parts. This role is ideal for you if you like working with your hands, and if you possess strong attention to detail. This role also requires you to follow HG and provincial Health & Safety standards. The Lube Technician role is great for those interested in pursuing a career as a Service Technician or other roles within the Service Department.

Service Manager

The Service Manager is responsible for running an efficient and profitable Service Department through productive staffing, customer retention, cost controls, achievement of objectives, and maintenance of all service records. If you are looking to grow in a role within the Service Department, and if you thrive in a fast-paced environment, this role is for you! It is an excellent way to showcase your leadership skills to your team of Service Advisors and AST’s, and set the example of the highest standard of customer service.

The Fixed Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the Parts and Service Departments. Our Fixed Operations Managers manage multiple departments’ efficiency and overall performance within the quality standard, cost, and profitability objectives. Shuttle Driver

Customer Shuttle Drivers work closely with the Service Department to deliver excellent customer service and ensure safe and efficient transportation. After our customers drop off their vehicle for extended or overnight service, the Shuttle Driver will provide pick-up and delivery service to various destinations within the surrounding geographic areas. If you have strong communication skills, and you enjoy a position that allows you to be mobile, this is the right fit for you!

Lot Attendants are an integral part of the day-to-day flow of business in both the Sales and Service Departments. Our Lot Attendants manage the flow of inventory of the lot by parking vehicles in an orderly manner and ensuring all vehicles are presented professionally. They also assist Service Advisors and Technicians by bringing customer vehicles through the shop or through the car wash. If you’re looking to get your foot in the door in the Service Department and learn about the department process, this is a great position to start in!
