Affordable Subcompact SUVs: Easy to Park, Easy to Own
Subcompact SUVs are the simplest way into a new utility vehicle. They slip into tight parking spots, and the 2027 models pack in plenty of standard tech.
2027 Chevrolet Trax

The refreshed 2027 Trax arrives at Chevrolet dealers in spring 2027 with a new grille, all-LED taillamps and a redesigned liftgate. It will come in LT, RS and ACTIV trims, and a power liftgate will be available on the Trax for the first time.
Safety and tech take a big step up. More than 20 safety and driver-assistance features will be standard, including Adaptive Cruise Control and Front and Rear Park Assist. An 11.3-inch touchscreen with Google built-in sits beside a new 11-inch driver display.
2027 Chevrolet Trailblazer

The 2027 Trailblazer also arrives in spring 2027, and it adds something new: a Z71 trim. The Z71 will bring standard AWD, an off-road-tuned suspension, an underbody skid plate and sport-terrain tires. LT and RS trims round out the lineup.
Inside, a new column-mounted shifter opens up a redesigned centre console with retractable cupholders, and rear passengers get their own air vents. The Trailblazer shares the Trax’s safety and screen upgrades, and an AutoSense power liftgate will be available.
2027 Toyota C-HR

The 2027 C-HR is a fully electric SUV, with a 77 kWh battery mounted low in the chassis. The front-wheel-drive SE makes 221 hp, while the XSE AWD and XSE Premium AWD use two motors for 338 hp and reach 100 km/h in 5.2 seconds.
Every trim gets a 14-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a heated steering wheel, dual wireless charging pads and Toyota Safety Sense 3.0. Cargo space measures 720 L behind the rear seats and 1,685 L with them folded.
Charging is simple, too. A NACS port opens access to most North American fast chargers, and DC fast charging takes the battery from 10 to 80 per cent in about 30 minutes under ideal conditions.
Affordable Compact Family SUV: More Room for the Crew
A compact SUV gives a growing family more rear-seat and cargo room while staying easy to drive every day.
2027 Hyundai Tucson

The all-new 2027 Tucson brings a bold new design and two powertrains. A 184 hp 1.6L turbo handles gas duty, while the hybrid makes 233 hp and, with AWD, tows up to 3,000 lbs (1,361 kg).
Inside, Hyundai’s new Pleos Connect system runs on Android Automotive, with a 12.9-inch or 17-inch touchscreen and a 9.9-inch driver display. The rugged XRT PRO adds Smart Terrain Assist, which helps guide drivers over rough ground.
Entry Luxury SUVs: Premium Badges Within Reach
These two models bring premium badges and strong standard equipment in compact sizes, which makes them a natural first step into luxury.
2027 Audi Q3

The 2027 Q3 delivers plenty of power for its size: a 255 hp 2.0L turbo four-cylinder paired with a 7-speed S tronic transmission and standard quattro AWD. It reaches 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds.
Inside, an 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.8-inch touchscreen come standard. The rear seat slides and reclines, so cargo space grows from 708 L to 822 L before you fold the seats for 1,415 L.
2028 Mercedes-Benz GLA

The redesigned Mercedes-Benz GLA arrives in 2027 as a 2028 model, and it will offer a fresh entry point into the Mercedes-Benz SUV family. A longer wheelbase and higher roofline add room inside.
The gas model will use a compact 48-volt hybrid system that can run on electric power in low-demand city driving. An electric GLA will also join the lineup, with 268 hp or 349 hp with 4MATIC AWD, both using an 85 kWh battery.
Inside, the new Mercedes-Benz Operating System will power the MBUX Virtual Assistant, and an available MBUX Superscreen will stretch across the dashboard.
